Silver Lake (Amador County) Birding Trip

Join leaders Pat Paternostro and Kasey Foley, Friday, June 14th, for a birding trip in the Sierra Nevada’s. We will bird several areas near Silver Lake, Amador County.

We will look for summering migrants and Sierra residents. In the past we have identi’ed species including, Pine Grosbeak, Pygmy Nuthatch and White-headed Woodpecker.

We will meet at 6:00am at Young’s Payless Market in Lockeford – (18980 CA-88, Lockeford). We will carpool to Plasse’s resort (June 14th is their opening day), which will be our starting point for birding. The resort is a bit less than 2 hours from Lockeford. Plan to bring a lunch and water, as we will stay until 2pm or so. The walking is mostly 7at, but boots are recommended.
