Medford Island Fieldtrip

Meet at the dock at the end of Eight Mile Rd at 8:00 a.m. for boat transport to the Island. Peter Ottesen will host us. The levee road at Potato Slough is closed, so you will need to tell the security guard that you are going to Medford Island. Access to the Clubhouse facility will be available. Plan to bird by walking parts of the Island all morning. Bring your own food for lunch at the clubhouse around 1:00 p.m., and transport off the Island shortly there after. We’ll especially be looking for signs of nesting Yellow-breasted Chats, as well as other late migrants.
